Tuesday: FINALLY! Finished off the last class discussions as well as final essay for COM 240.
Wednesday: FINALLY! Knocked off the last stuff for COM 217.
Thursday:
Knocked off my final PSY exam. Only got a 78, but meh, I’ve been doing alright for the rest of the tests and I don’t care if I just end up with a B or so. Finally…almost done with this accursed semester.
Read the next chapter, 20, of Kaiju No. 8. Not much to say about this chapter, as it was just a straight-up duel between our hero and the commanding swordsman guy. As you can expect, our guy wins and manages to escape But MAN, the action and choreography were REALLY good! Exactly the reason I started following this manga! Great chapter.

A short manga about an astronaut alienated from the rest of humanity who (ironically) finds kinship with an actual alien he meets on the moon. Very bittersweet indeed, but it does make the most out of the few pages it has. Very much recommend it!

Anyways, though…it sucks, but I think I have to take a semester off (at least) from college. I’m not going to admit defeat completely, and I think I probably will come back, but as you can tell, the stress is really, really, really getting to me. The problem is that college is a lot more expensive than I had anticipated. I thought I’d be getting a reasonable amount of financial aid, and I thought some of the fees and stuff would be reduced due to online learning, but both assumptions proved to be completely wrong. I’m getting almost no financial aid from my state (just a tiny, trivial amount) and my university hasn’t canceled any of the fees relating to in-person learning, despite classes having gone online. While I’m not in dire financial straits, it’s just a very, very bad deal. I wouldn’t have minded paying the fees, even without much financial aid, if I was still getting in-person instruction, but as it is I can’t justify the price tag. I think waiting out the god-damn pandemic until a vaccine hits, and going back to class in-person, is the best course of action. After I take one more winter course, one which should hopefully be pretty useful for a job hunt, I think I’m gonna take the next semester off. I should talk to an advisor first, though…we’ll see what happens next week.
